Grants
The distribution of grants plays a very important role in the
Department of Cultural Affairs. The goal of this form of support is to
allocate money based on achievements. The grants are used to support
local and international artists, in particular young talents.
Additionally, in the projects 'city chronicler and 'writers in
residence' (administrated by the International House of Authors)
international writers are invited to present and describe their views
on Graz, while working on their own literary development.
Some independent expert juries, which circulates regularly, nominates the receivers of the grants.
